     Beverly Richards Buckley is proud to announce her 41st year of quality dance education, here at the Beverly Richards Dance Center.  The accomplishments and success of the studio are outstanding!  There are several Grand National Dance Champions, professional dancers: currently Amy Spanger, with a lead role in Matilda The Musical, as Mrs. Wormwood, as well as many pageant titleholders including 5 Miss Massachusetts to date, and college-bound scholarship students. BRDC is currently the 2021 Step Up 2 Dance Competition National Dance Grand Champions.

 

     Beverly is a dedicated teacher specializing in quality education. A professional performer herself, she is a 6 year veteran of the New England Patriot Cheerleaders, former choreographer of the Boston Breaker Cheerleaders (USFL) has a professional Dance troupe known as Beverly Richards & Company, featured with Angelo Picardi, Sergio Franki, Pat Cooper, Lew Bernard, and has appeared with Bob Hope, Tony Randall, and many others on stage and television.

 

     Beverly, her faculty, and her students have proven that dedication and determination can make you a winner and that scholastic education and performing arts are highly respected.

 

     During these times of financial stress, budget cuts, and lack of jobs, it is nice to know that a local dancing school can offer so much. Beverly and her excellent faculty hope you enjoy becoming a part of the BRDC dance family and hope that you join in their traditions! Mrs. Beverly Richards Buckley

Beverly Richards Buckley is the Founder, Owner, and Artistic Director of the Beverly Richards Dance Center located in Orient Heights, East Boston. Beverly is currently celebrating 41 years of pristine quality dance education. She is well known throughout the state of Massachusetts as a Master Teacher and Adjudicator of performing arts. Most recently, Beverly was both a Science and Physical Education teacher at St. Mary’s Lynn.

 

Beverly is also the former Head Varsity Cheering Coach and former Dance Team Instructor.  Amongst her many positions at St. Mary’s, she also was the Junior Class Dean, Senior Class Dean, and Student Council Advisor. She has worked as a New England Patriots Cheerleader, choreographer for the Boston Breakers (USFL), Dance Director of Triton Regional High School, Dance Team Instructor for Boston College, executive director/choreographer for the preliminary to Miss Massachusetts and Miss America Pageant, and as a professional dancer. 

 

Beverly is a member of the Dance Teachers Club of Boston, Inc. with the American Society, Massachusetts Association for Health, Physical Education, recreation, and Dance, Dance Masters New England Chapter 5, National Dance Teacher Association, and the United States Twirling Association.  Beverly is a founding member of NEPCAA.ORG, New England Professional Cheerleader Alumni Association.  Beverly has received numerous awards including the 1995 Human Performance and Fitness Alumni Award – U Mass Boston, and 1993 Secondary Physical Education and Dance “Teacher of the Year” and was the recipient for the 1998 National Dance Association, “Eastern District Dance Educator of the Year”.  

"Seeing what was once a dream of opening a dance studio become a well respected home of quality dance education is more than an honor it is a blessing.  

I could never have imagined the extended family that is still growing strong.  

 

I am so lucky to have such caring, loving, supportive, and talented students, parents, and faculty that represent BRDC with the upmost respect and professionalism everyday.  

I am so proud of all the accomplishments that have been and continue to be achieved.  

 

I am overly humbled by the lifelong friendships that have been built through the education offered from the studio.  

I couldn't thank my studio family enough for making all of this possible.
