Miss Alyssa McGrath

Alyssa McGrath is a dancer, born and raised in Boston Massachusetts. She lives with her mom, dad, and little sister Ashley. She was influenced by her older cousin to start taking dance lessons. When Alyssa turned seven, she joined Beverly Richards Dance Center in Orient Heights, East Boston. She has been on the competition team since the age of nine.

 

A pivotal moment in her career was in 2014 at a national competition where she received a special award for her solo. This meant a lot to her and this moment was when she realized she wanted to go to college and pursue dance professionally.

 

At the age of sixteen, Alyssa became a graduate of the Dance Teacher’s Club of Boston Dance Education Training course and auditioned and received the Dean Scholarship, a $20,000.00 four year renewable scholarship award. While taking this course she studied under Tom Ralabate, E Laura Hausmann, and Diane Gudat. Currently, Alyssa is a senior at Dean College earning her BFA in dance performance with a concentration in jazz.

 

Alyssa attends Dean College with their Dean College $20,000 a year renewable scholarship as a senior in their dance program. Upon graduating, Alyssa wants to perform for the Walt Disney Company. Besides performing, she also has an interest in fitness, dance therapy, and education. 

Miss Ashley McGrath

Ashley McGrath has been dancing since she was three years old. She is currently a member of the senior class at St. Mary’s High School in Lynn. At St. Mary's, Ashley is the captain of the St. Mary’s Dance Team and is the current co-president of the St. Mary’s Student Council.

 

While attending Beverly Richards Dance Center, she has trained in ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, modern, contemporary, acro and musical theatre. She has also been a member of the Beverly Richards Dance Center Competition Team since she was seven years old.

 

Ashley has performed both in regional competitions as well as national competitions, receiving numerous high score overall achievements in both group and solo routines. She enjoys all things dance and has recently found a love for teaching dance.

Ms. Courtney Carey

Ms. Courtney from Revere started dancing when she was 4 years old. Beginning at
NZDA, Ms. Courtney trained in ballet and tap for 10 years. Today, Ms. Courtney is
educated in various types of dance styles, but specializes in teaching Hip-Hop.
At age 13, Ms. Courtney began taking Hip-Hop style dancing and it stuck with her
ever since. After joining the North Shore Hip Hop Crew, Beat Connxtionz, Ms.
Courtney stayed with the crew until they opened up a new studio in Saugus MA.
There, she was one of the first students of Beat ConnXtionz Dance Studio.

 

In high school, she was a part of the St. Mary’s Lynn Cheerleading and Dance Teams. Both of which were run by none other than Mrs. Buckley herself. Ms. Courtney quickly
became a leader in the St. Mary’s community and worked very closely with Mrs.
Buckley in other events such as student council and many volunteer services. Mrs.
Buckley was one of Ms. Courtney’s greatest mentors at St. Mary’s. During Ms.
Courtney’s time on the Cheering team, they had won many titles including 4th place
at States in 2011 and then advancing to regionals.


After graduating from St. Mary’s, Ms. Courtney attended Saint Joseph’s College of
Maine. There she joined their Dance Club and after one year was voted as SJC Dance
Club Vice President. The SJC Dance Club performed at all home basketball games,
traveled to Orlando Florida to perform in Downtown Disney during Spring Break, and competed in a few competitions such as StepUp2Dance.

 

After graduating from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine in 2015, Ms. Courtney traveled
then eventually returned home in Boston. Today, Ms. Courtney is a dance teacher at
Beat ConnXtionz, Saugus. She also remains attending dance classes herself, to
constantly learn more and remain active in the art of dance. Including attending
Dance Conventions such as Monsters.

 

Ms. Courtney loves to dance and loves, even more, to share her passion with students
of all ages. She is extremely excited to be joining Beverly Richards Dance Center.

Mrs. Jade Baglio

Jade Alexa Baglio is the former head Instructor/Choreographer. Jade is a graduate of Salem State University, where she attained a Bachelor of Science Degree as a Sport and Movement Science Major with a concentration in Dance.  While there she received the Creativity Award for her achievements while in the dance program.  Jade has co-coordinated, choreographed, and performed for the Salem State University’s Dance Ensemble, which includes faculty and student work. She has had her choreographic work performed and adjudicated at the American College Dance Festival, Shows, along with Regional and National Dance Competitions where her choreography has received many special awards, such as best/most creative choreography and overall high point.  

 

Jade is a certified Para-Educator for the state of Massachusetts and a graduate of the Dance Teachers' Club of Boston, Inc. with the American Society Dance Education Training Course. Jade is also a member of Massachusetts Association for Health, Physical Education, recreation, and Dance, National Dance Education Organization, Massachusetts Dance Education Organization, and the National Honor Society for Dance.  

 

Jade was a featured back up dancer and “Gothic Cheerleader” with Weird Al Yankovic, was a selected performer for Jose’ Mateo’s Ballet Theatre Dance For World Community, and was named Dance Spirit Magazines, "2011 Miss Dance Massachusetts".   

 

Jade gives all of the credit for her continued passion for dance to her students who are always so eager to learn and also find a way to teach her beautiful life lessons in return!
